[MARK BURRIS] Late 20s-early 30s. A bit run down. Wears a cheap suit. After a troubled childhood, he has made various unsuccessful attempts to get his life in order as an adult. When he tracks down a close relative he hasn’t seen in over 20 years, he hopes that a reunion will provide the fresh start and clear conscience that he has been seeking. (3 scenes in teaser)

[YOUNG MARK/FIVE YEAR OLD] 5 year old boy. Caucasian. Lives in a chaotic house with his 7 year old brother and their schizophrenic and abusive mother. Loyal to his brother who always tries to protect him. When tragedy strikes at home, he is questioned by the police about who is responsible. (3 scenes)
